  • National Novel Writing Month 2007

    2007 Nov 14

I am right at the halfway point in my 2007 entry, the working title is "Strip Mall." I will be posting more details as the competition comes to a close, you can track my progress at http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/23002
  • New essay: "Army Food"

    2007 Apr 28

I just wrote my first essay in a very long time. It is available under a Creative Commons license.

  • The rumors of my (writing drive) demise have been greatly exaggerated

    2007 Apr 18

Yeah, no writing for over a year. This is what happens when you let things like work get in the way of your writing.

Somehow I even missed the new storefront system.

That said, I don't have any interest in dropping the writing. I still try to blog on a daily basis, and not a day passes without me running through many scenarios for my next two books.
  • Web Presence

    2006 Jan 01

I am getting to the point in which I have too many web sites running at the same time. Here is a list:

Pedro Vera's Web Log - This is my main web presence and is the site that is updated most often, usually many times a day.

    Veraperez.net Network Services
    - This is my own hosting company, I started it mostly so I could take advantage of wholesale pricing for domain names and web hosting. Since I have so many friends online, I also pass my savings on to them whenever they need domain names or hosting.

Pedro @ Slashdot - This is my Slashdot.org journal, it is explicitly for geek issues.
  • Free text ads for Lulu authors at my main blog

    2006 Jan 01

I am giving away free text ads on my site (http://veraperez.com) to any Lulu authors that are interested. These links can only point to either the actual Lulu book details page, or the main author page.

If you are interested, check out http://veraperez.com/about-pedro/ for information on how to contact me. All that you need to tell me is:

    1. The URL that you would like your ad to point to.
    2. A short phrase to display for the ad.

    Thanks!
